Siellä on yksi käyttäjän arviointi jossa hän -5-6° lämpötilassa lämmittää kahden litran Mondeota. Vartissa ei tapahdu mitään, mutta tunnin kuluttua tulee auton käynnistämisen jälkeen heti lämmintä (ei kuumaa ) ilmaa lämppäristä.
Kaveri pitää hommaa turhan hitaana, mutta ei ole tainnut tottua näihin vehkeisiin, vartissa ei kuulukkaan mitään tapahtua. Hänellä on ainoana tarkoituksena saada tuulilasi kirkkaaksi heti. Moottorin sieluelämä ei häntä kiinnosta.
Tuo Jussin mainitsema IP-luokka on kyllä totta. Meillä on totuttu pikkuisen erilaisiin johtoihin näissä.

Cons: low power
I fitted this last year when we had a fairly cold UK winter (South East, perhaps -5 or -6 degrees C some nights). My car is a 2.0L Diesel Ford Mondeo and I found I had to leave the heater on for a long time to do anything noticable - 45minutes was more like it. The whole unit, including the pump, uses 1200watts so lets assume 1150watts are used for heating - in 15 minutes you've only put 290watts into 100kg+ of steel. No wonder I can't tell the difference!
After an hour the heater came through warm (not hot by any means) and de-misting was very quick. I only bought it to speed up demisting. The car is designed to start OK down to -20 or -25 so the engine itself doesn't need this product. Fuel saving? 290watts? That's an almost immesurable amount of diesel.
The quality of the part was very good and it will last. It's very quiet when running and would be good for a small petrol engine, perhaps upto 1.6l. Anything larger and you need more than 15 minutes to get warm air in the cabin on engine startup.
It does the job eventually but consider Diesel fired cabin heaters are nearer 4 or 5 kW and you get an appreciation of what 1.2kW is.
As the instructions suggest, 2 in series might do the trick for larger Diesel cars.
